Inspiron3910MT memory upgrade.
I upgraded my SSD OK. I'm trying to upgrade the memory from 12GB to 32GB. Tried 2 different brands. Neither one worked The light on the start button blinks white, then yellow, then computer shuts off. Is there some thing in BIOS I need to change?

Have any of the memory modules been from Crucial? They are reputed to be the most compatible. You can find that memory at their site here.

So I bought 2X16GB Crucial memory sicks. In stalled them and had same problem as before. So I uninstalled 1, replaced it with the 8GB stick from Dell. Computer started up and gave memory change screen. Showed 24GB of memory. Replaced 8GB with other 16GB stick. All works OK. And yes this was done with power off and power cable unplugged. Joe
