Inspiron One 2330, need an AVR?

Hi everyone!

I would like to ask for your advice. It's a noob question but does the Dell Inspiron One 2330 need an AVR? Or is it okay to plug it in directly to the outlet? I don't know if it's relevant but the country where I live in has 220V outlets. My old Inspiron 3542 laptop recently gave up and I inherited an Inspiron One 2330 to use temporarily while I save up for a new laptop. I'm not familiar with PCs since i've only used a laptop until recently. Thank you for any advice!

On Best Buy, that question was answered by Dell:

Thank you for your interest in the Inspiron One 2330! Yes, this all-in-one computer has an auto-switching power supply that is rated for: 110-240V VAC 50-60Hz 2.9A You can use it in a country whose own power statistics fit this PSU's specifications.

Dell specifications confirm that, saying:

Power ratings
Input voltage 100–240 VAC
Input frequency 50 Hz–60 Hz
Output current 2.9 A

I hope that helps.

Yes, it is designed to be plugged directly in to a wall outlet. Though, it's often recommended to plug into a power strip with surge protection, or a UPS with surge protection.

If the electrical cord is from another country with a different plug, then you would need either a plug adapter or a new electrical cord with correct plug.

Thank you so much for your response! Just to clarify, I can directly plug this into an outlet without the need for an AVR? Thanks again!
