Inspiron One 2310 brightness button on the sides not working

The side button of my inspiron one has stopped working, been trying to change the brightness for past 5 hours nothing is working, theres no setting to change it in the settings, tried downloading different apps which claim to work(they didnt pls elp me out ) i have inspiron one 2310 model
