Inspiron all-in-one: Desktop goes black, shows "HDMI-IN" at the bottom right, then goes to error screen and requires restart

I have a Inspiron 27 7710 All-in-One desktop. I have had issues with my computer for about a year. I will be in the middle of a game or working on the internet. The screen will go black and at the bottom right hand part of the screen shows a pop-up of "HDMI-IN". The computer then completely goes black for about 10 seconds, then goes to blue screen and notifies me it ran into an issue and it will need to restart. I run the full diagnostics everytime and it passes every test. I have talked to Dell multiple times and they always say they think it is an update issue, they run a few tests and restarts, then my computer is OK for the first few uses and then starts acting up again. Anyone else have this issue and find a resolve?

it is because the AIO computer crashed but the screen was still active so it was looking for an HDMI-in signal as the computer no longer provided one, since there was no HDMI-in source connected to it, you got a brief pop up it was still waiting for one, typical of monitor.

the crash can be due to many possible causes and often Dell self dx does not detect them.

try first do a clean OS install, or just keep the AIO in bios screen mode.

if bios screen never crashes, then it may be the OS.  try a clean OS next.

if still crashes,

remove all memory sticks and replace w a new single memory stick if you are handy enough to take it apart to service memory.

if new memory makes no difference, then it is something else.
