INSPIRON AIO HDD BRACKETS
Hi Everyone!
I recently purchased an Inspiron 24 5400 AIO and now want to add a second SSD.
Before I rip the back off, does anyone know if the HDD caddy brackets will be "parked" inside or will I have to buy them separately. I have seen it both ways on the internet.
Thanks for your help.

I see. I really do not know whether or not your pc without hdd has the hard drive bracket included, but I searched around and managed to find someone selling this bracket. in case you do not have the bracket, you can buy it. it is somewhat amazing that Dell has P/N for almost every part. notice that the bracket is either left or right handed thus having two DP/N.

Update: The HHD brackets were indeed "parked" inside the AIO. The sit in 2 slots on the top left hand corner of the chassis! There are however, no screws.

It uses a metal bracket for 2.5 hdd which should be included. You can upgrade hdd to 2.5 sata ssd.

Hi RedXPS630,
Many thanks for your reply, but I may not have explained correctly.
I understand that it uses the two brackets but the AIO I bought does not have any HDD or SSD fitted.
I wondered if dell included them "parked" on the chassis ready for future installation of a drive or are they only included if a drive is fitted when purchasing.
I am trying to avoid opening up the case until I am sure I have the brackets inside, or do I need to buy them.

Re: the AIO I bought does not have any HDD or SSD fitted.
you are welcome. Curious of this one you bought without any storage. Are you buying this refurbished from a vendor or new from Dell? I am not sure you can buy it directly from Dell without any storage drive or OS. If you buy it from a non-Dell vendor that has removed the original hdd or ssd, then I can not tell.
PS the M.2 ssd is installed in M.2 slot of motherboard and does not need a bracket.

Hi Again RedXPS630,
No, I bought in new directly from Dell. It has an M2 ssd fitted on the motherboard and I want to fit an additional 2.5" SSD, but not sure if the brackets are parked on the chassis or if I have to buy them separately.

Hi RedXPS60
Very many thanks for all your trouble finding these! I had a look at the overall price from eBay but these are in the states and will cost a fortune to get sent over here.
Not to worry, I'll just pry the back off and stick the SSD in with some hot glue if there are no brackets in there.
Thanks again for all your help.
