Inspiron 7700 AIO, no sound from internal speakers
Not sure if the sound ever worked, but my wife had a zoom and zilch. updated drivers and every fix found on Dell and Windows as far as trouble shooting.
Diagnostics show a live signal but nada on sound.as if a switch had been thrown or a broken mini plug shoved in a headphone jack, but I have checked.

Is the Output option on Windows Sound screen set to Realtek?
Is audio output/input enabled in Zoom?
This system uses Waves MaxxAudio Pro as the sound controller on top of Windows settings. If you don't already have it installed, download Waves according to the instructions at the above link.
Then make sure it's loading automatically at every boot. Look on the Startup tab in Task Manager to see if it's enabled.
Once Waves is loading at boot, open the Waves control panel. Click the Playback icon and turn the Eq(uiler) on. Then make sure Waves is correctly identifying the speakers as "internal", and at the bottom of that screen make sure the speakers aren't muted.
Does that help?

I found it, something was usurping the feed. I unplugged the extra Dell monitor and the sound is back. Is there something I missed in connecting second monitor? Appreciate the help so far.
Are internal speakers sacrificed for the second monitor! (HDMI connect)
Problems like this gut your soul trying to figure them out.

Does that monitor have its own built-in speakers? Are you using a separate audio-in connection to this monitor (typically a thin cable with green audio plugs on both ends) or audio over HDMI?
If it has speakers, are they enabled? If monitor has its own On-Screen Display (OSD; accessed by pressing button(s) directly on the monitor). Open it and see how audio is set up, and speakers not muted.
Is Realtek enabled as the Sound Output in Windows or is it set to use audio over HDMI?
If monitor has its own speakers and you're using audio-in cable, disconnect that cable from PC and boot to desktop. Now plug in the monitor audio and wait to see if Waves pops up and asks what you connected. Select the best option from the Waves drop-down menu. If Waves doesn't recognize speakers in that monitor correctly they won't work.
Next open the Waves control panel and make sure the monitor's speakers aren't muted...
If you want to use speakers in external monitor over HDMI, you have to configure Windows for Sound over HDMI without using a separate audio-in cable. And then check the monitor's OSD to make sure it's set to audio over HDMI and speakers aren't muted.
EDIT: You may not be able to use the PC's internal speakers and an external monitor's speakers at the same time...

I was using an old Dell P2212Hf monitor VGA to HDMI adapter. Replaced with ViewSonic, presto
My issue is a Dell to a Dell ought to be solved by Dell. I.e. troubleshooting software
Appreciate all the help, and I'll never buy a hybrid again
