Inspiron 7459 AIO, hangs at dell logo, hard reset and turn on and boots fine
Hello there,
I have a Dell All-in-one PC, whenever I turn on the PC for the first time, it always hangs at the dell logo (just the dell logo only - no spinny wheel of dots). Then I have to hard reset it (i.e. press and hold the power button down) and turn it on again for the second time, it boots up fine (shows the dell logo and then the spinney wheel of dots appears) and enters windows.
Not sure why this is and what might the solution be?
Many thanks in advance

This PC is kinda old, so when was last time you replaced the motherboard battery? If it's old, I'd start with that, if nothing else than to rule out a weak/dead battery.
This PC model uses a motherboard battery with a 2-wire cable attached that you can find online. Probably a CR2032 with cable, but verify for yourself. You don't need a multi-pack of them, but get one from a decent manufacturer.
Be sure to follow the instructions carefully to remove/replace the battery and put a soft cloth or towel on the table before you lay the PC screen face-down so it doesn't get scratched.
