Inspiron 3910, works so hard it never sleeps
Inspiron 3910
Just got this Inspiron 3910. Windows 11 has it set for 15 minutes to go to sleep but it never does, I just turn it off thing off. I can manually set it to sleep but it comes back on at some point so I just turn it off to make sure. I've never had this problem with any computer. Still under warranty so I'll give them a call. Just thought I'd familiarize myself with the message board and add my 2 cents. Seems others have this issue too. I'll update after I speak with service.

I called Dell and a technician named Aayush logged in remotely and after a couple reboots he figured it out.
* Checked USB Wake options in BIOS
* Disabled Fast Startup
* Refresh the hiberfil.sys file
I have to give dell props for their overall support system. They even sent a guy out to replace a fan because it was too noisy, and I live out the boonies.

You need to fugure out what waking up the machine, as simple as that.
Had this issue many times over the years. issue can be an app running is background giving a wake command or a hardware device.
1. Disconnect everything from the machine except mouse, keyboard monitor. If the issue is fixed you can identify faulty hardware by plugging them one by one.
2. Disable all running application.
Task manager > Startup > Disable everything, Now enable them one by one
3. Sometimes Microsoft can help too
Run CMD as admin
powercfg -lastwake
This command will tell you whats waking the PC (not helpful in all cases)
Dell tech support would use similar process to diagnose and find the culprit
