Inspiron 3910, non-active video ports?
Inspiron 3910
Hi all,
I bought a inspiron 3910 with the Nvidia graphic cards option 6gb. It arrived today and there was a sticker that said non-active ports underneath had the DP and HDMI. Can someone help me on how to activate the ports? Do I need to do something? I am completely new to this.

Yes, you may use USB ports with DisplayLink adapter.
Your machine has only one PCIe x16 slot for graphics card use, so you can't fit 2 cards in there.

Intel processors ending with letter F do not have integrated graphics. Your machine may have outfitted with one, therefore, factory label to notice inactive ports. You cant' activate those ports unless changing out the processor.
Since your machine has dedicated graphics, nVidia, use those ports.

Thanks for that - Do you think there is a way to expand the ports?
E.g. USB Hub?
or would 2 graphic cards fit in the machine?
Sorry I am really new to hardware builds
