Inspiron 3881, Time of day not set [HELP PLEASE]
Anyone please help me,
my PC (Inspiron 3881) having an issue, always getting message when i starting the computer,
the message is "Time-of-day not set - please run SETUP Program". I already searched for the solution, some of them tell me to change date and time appropriately, i tried change it but it could not save or apply (see figure below).
The error not only that, my PC starting on abnormally without pressing the power button, it just on instantly/automatically when connected to electricity. Also the power button light changed, from normal flashing white to 1x flashing white and 3x flashing amber.
Power button 1x flashing white, 3x flashing amber
Here for my BIOS information,
Please help me, it's getting me frustrated to see my PC working like this.
Before many thanks guys

Yes, all PCs have a battery to retain various BIOS setting when PC is powered off or unplugged. They typically last ~3 years. And according to the error code table, 3 amber, 1 white on your PC model = CMOS battery failure,.
Let us know when everything is working again...

When was last time you replaced the motherboard battery?
If BIOS isn't holding the date/time, that's a sure sign the battery died. And that's exactly what the 3 amber,1 white blink code is telling you.
EDIT: Be sure to unplug PC and press/hold power button for ~15 sec before opening the case. And press/hold power button for ~30 sec after removing the old battery, before installing the new one.
It's a CR2032 3-volt coin cell, ~$2, available at the usual big box stores, drugstores, etc. Instructions to replace it are at the link I posted on first line above.
