the PCIex16 slot is gen 2, also known as Rev 2.0.
this is a surprise. In similar model of XPS 8700 or Optiplex 9020, the PCIex16 slot is gen3.
Why would Dell make it a gen2 PCIex16 slot in 3847? to cut cost or to make inspiron a cheap entry level? note these spec details is not released to public.
