Inspiron 3477 M.2 Flexing a little too much?

Inspiron 3477 M.2 Flexing a little too much?  I installed a m.2 drive for the first time in this AIO.  I was pleasantly surprised that there was a screw there for it as most computers I work on don't even have the screw.  The screw didn't have a Standoff on it and the drive seems to flex down a little too much.  I don't think there should be any flex and the drive should be level with the socket and the System Board, don't you guys agree?  Why would Dell provide a screw that was not correct?  I didn't have any of the right size washers on hand otherwise I would have used a few.

I also don't know how to attach the model of computer that I'm asking about in the initial post.  If memory serves there is a way to do so.  I saw this computer's entry and it was outlined with Blue, and when I clicked on it the blue outline went away.  I know the members here are great but this site is atrocious!

I misspoke, there is a screw but not a Standoff.  Why would they provide a screw and no standoff?

It's done now so I  cannot change it, just wanted to know what is what with the way dell is handling this type of thing.  Clearly like all other OEM's, not very well.  The last one I worked on -Lenovo- had a special standoff that I had to buy off of ebay, it was an unusual size, forget what it was now, larger than most.  I have a assortment of Standoffs but they were all to tall for this application.

Thanks

A screw will need to attach on the top of a standoff.  I think you are confused of what is a standoff and a screw.  There is one standoff that will keep the SSD staying the same level with the M.2 connector.  You will need to move the standoff to the location that match the size of SSD being used.  After installing the SSD, you will need to secure it with a small M2 screw (not included), holding it down on top of the standoff.

To attach a picture is simple, just click on the camera icon and browse to select your picture.

A picture below showing the standoff located at 2280.  If using a shorter SSD, move the standoff to the empty location.
