Inspiron 3477 All in one PC

Inspiron 3477

I have inspiron all in one PC. Recently, the power cord for the power adapter was broken. This one connects to the wall outlet and it has 3 female prongs to connect to the power adapter. I replaced the half cable with another 75w cable but now when I start my PC, I am getting an error about my PC not recognizing the 65w power!!!! How is the possible because power adapter is original and it has no problems. Can somone help me with this silly issue? Thank you

you need to replace w genuine oem Dell power cords if the cord is the only part broken. In North America that would be DP/N K260C

coincidentally the ac adapter itself may be defective even when it looks good on the outside. it is easier or more promising to replace the whole thing.
