Inspiron 3454 AIO, won't stop going to sleep
I have an Inspiron 3454 AIO and the screen won't stop going to sleep. Even if I have a movie or video playing it goes to sleep after a minute or two. I've changed all the settings and turned off the Screensaver. It seems to me this PC for some reason believes there should be a battery attached that isn't there. Is it possible it's the battery attached to the motherboard? It gives the impression it thinks it's a laptop. I've been trying to update every driver and everything I can, a lot of it fails to work, especially the Dell update programs.

You sure about "Inspiron 3454 AIO"? I don't see that model number listed on Dell's support site. There's an Inspiron 3452 AIO...
What version of Windows?
Are you streaming these vids/movies over WiFi or Ethernet, or using a USB DVD player?
Have you set the active Windows Power plan to "Sleep: Never" and Turn off monitor: Never"?
Have you gone to the Advanced settings screen for that active Power plan and disabled Hibernation, Hybrid Sleep ?

@RoHe thank you for the reply. I think I mistyped the model. In the about information for the PC it says it's an Inspiron 7548. Which is wrong, that's a laptop model. I think I found the correct model in BIOS but it's an Inspiron 3455. I have changed all the settings you asked about to never. Usually I'm streaming the videos, but it's also when I'm playing a file from a drive and when I'm using the optical drive.

@Fletch3r - Go back to that Advanced settings screen for the active Windows power plan. At the top make sure it's set to High Performance.
Then make sure Hibernation, Hybrid Sleep, USB Selective Suspend, PCI Express Link State are all disabled. Set Wireless Performance to max on that same screen, and change Processor Power Management to 100% for both Min and Max. Save the changes to the power plan.
Next, open Device Manager and expand USB. Double-click each USB entry and if it has a Power Management tab, uncheck the box "Allow PC to turn off...". Repeat the process for each Human Interface Device listed that has a Power Management tab, and do the same for your Ethernet and WiFi network adapters.
Reboot when done and test again...

@RoHe yes. Is it possible there's something deeper. I truly believe, for some reason, this PC thinks it's a laptop without the batter attached so it sleeps to conserve. In power options is Dell Power Manager Lite and when I click a new screen pops up that says it's waiting for batter connection. I've been trying to uninstall or delete it but it doesn't show up under programs. I also had a friend suggest that maybe the batter on the motherboard is dead. Is any of this possible and the problem?

Wouldn't expect a failing motherboard battery to cause this kind of symptoms.
More likely a software issue, so try this:
Assuming no "unfixed" errors in any of above, reboot PC and see if that fixes the problem...

@RoHe I can't. It doesn't make sense. It shows up in the advanced power settings and the program opens when I click it but when I search for it anywhere the program doesn't show. I tried the rest of your suggestions. I had some errors when I was doing the scan that I need to look up and see if I can remedy. Thank you for your continued help.

Exactly what errors did you get and from which scan(s), chkdsk, DISM or sfc ?
Have you looked on the Windows Add/Remove screen for Dell Power Management, especially on the Startup page listed on left side when Add/Remove opens?
You can also try this...
Click Start>Run>type in: services.msc and click OK. When services.msc opens, if a "Dell Power Management" service is listed, double-click it and change its Startup Type to disabled. If it's not listed, or even if it is, you might also want to disable every "Dell" service you see. Don't change the settings for any other services in services.msc. (Note: You can always turn any of those services back on again, if you need any of them.) Then reboot and see if the sleep problem is fixed...

If the 3455 is 5+ years old, try changing the size 2032 MB battery. Bad batteries cause bizarre problems.

@Fletch3r - Look in Windows Event Viewer and see if an error(s) got logged for that freeze.
Ignore Kernel 41 errors which only mean Windows wasn't correctly shut down (it froze)...
