Inspiron 3030S and 3020S Small DT Buyer beware
commonly asked psu and gpu upgrade options for S (Small DT)
the S is the slim and cheaper entry level of Inspiron
this model has very limited upgradability
user should know this before decide
3030 small desktop can only accommodate up to 300W Dell oem psu for Optiplex,
Dell does not even offer the 300w psu in 3030SFF spec, only 180w.
another evidence of this being a low end entry model.
3030S and 3020S are 92.6 mm wide only
there are two different types of Dell oem 300w psu
their dimensions are:
(1) 186 x 120 x 63 mm (120 mm wide not good for Small Desktop)
this has a black 8 pin PCIe connector for gpu
L300EBS-00. made by Lite-On. DP/N T7X04.
H300EBS-00 made by Chicony P/N : V0YN7
D300EBS-00 made by Delta J1R8X
(2) 184 x 82 x 62mm (82 mm wide good for Small DT), no PCIe connector
Optiplex Tower 7010 and SFF 7010/7010 Plus =
1GJMK 300W Chicony H300EPS-01
42M49 300W Delta D300EPS-00
CNHDM 300W LiteOn L300EPS-01
K96D5 300W Liteon L300EPS-01
W6PWK 300W Acbel AC300EPS-01
Caveat: Small desktop can only work with low profile and single slot width thin heatsink gpu significantly limiting gpu upgrade options

user who wants to make the inspiron into a gaming pc is recommended to consider the regular and not slim 3020/3030. these are 154 mm wide same as Inspiron 3910
psu can be upgraded to 500w oem psu TPX56
dimensions:
120mm x 63mm x 185mm
white 8 + 4 + 4 plug
black PCIe 6 + 8 plug

My Inspiron 3030S with its SFF is exactly what I needed for my desk work. Replaced my 2012 Dell Inspiron that was twice it's size.
Clearly it is not meant to be a gaming machine.
