Inspiron 3030, internal CD/DVD drive?

I have a Dell Inspiron 3030 that I purchased in 2025. It has a punch out for a DVD/CD drive on the top of the desktop. similar to one I purchased in the 2017. When I took the panel off it appears to have a slot at the top the bracket and plugs to install the component but Dell support said it was not possible to buy from Dell and install said component. Has anybody had any luck with this?

Might be easier to use a USB drive as internal drives are  hard to replace.

I suggest a USB CD/DVD/BD drive which is widely available

@HedgeFundManager That appears to be my only choice. I don't like it but there's lots I don't like. I have ordered one.

My Dell machines all lack CD/DVD/BD so I use a USB drive to install windows from DVD or to play media etc.
