How to enable XMP on Inspiron Desktop 3030

The ram on my Inspiron 3030 i7 was upgraded from OEM 16gb Hynix to 64GB Crucial (2 X 32). Original ram was running at JEDEC speed. New ram is running at XMP (5600 MT/s). No settings were changed. XMP was enabled automatically. My guess is that a 2 X 16gb kit would produce the same result. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has a similar experience.
