34 pin header:
this is a possible power switch pinout
Pin 20 is power hot and pin 19 is a ground (as in Optiplex 170L)

In Dimension 8400
the power button board is
this is connected to the front panel board CTRL PNL 15 pin header via a 16 pin cable (the cable is included in Y1224)
the front panel board connects to motherboard via a 34 pin cable
