Dell inspiron3668 won't power on
I changed power supply, and cmos battery. I unplugged and plugged everything back in. The green light comes on for a few seconds then goes back off. Can't get any power to start up

What led you to replace the power supply rather than the mainboard, which is likely the faulty part?

@ejn63 because the trouble shooting to suggest power supply would be the first option to try and much more simple. Why do you think the mainboard is likely?

If the power supply is OK, the mainboard is not - - given that boards for this system are in the $20-30 range, that's probably what I would have tried first, but no matter -- it's the next thing to change.

Unfortunately, the replacement of the new motherboard is not working. While I know am getting power, i only get a steady blinking orange light. I changed the CMOS battery, i used both power supply's, I checked theRAM card and it is seated firmly. I even had a new RAM card and changed it just in case. Nothing affects it. Regardless of any of those changes, as soon as i hit the power the fans both run, but a blinking orange light is all i get. Even if i plug in monitor, i dont get anything on screen. I tried different outlet and different power cords as well. What could be my next step? The motherboard at least got it to genrate power just something isnt getting it passed the blinking orange, which 4 blinks at a clip, by the way. Any other thoughts?
