Dell Inspiron 5675 Won't Boot From USB Drive
Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 5675 (Ryzen 5 1600, Rx 570, 128GB/1TB SSD/HDD (Added a 1TB SSD as well)) that refuses to boot from USB. I have been attempting to update it to Windows 11 (the CPU is not supported) to no avail, and it seems that installing via USB is the only other way. But I have tried multiple time in multiple ports with both Windows 11 installation media (official and Rufus) and a Fedora 42 install drive, and none have been picked up by UEFI or Windows Advanced Recovery. I plugged in the drive to my other Dell PC and it showed up, so it seems to be an issue with the PC. I have also tried disabling Secure Boot.
Thank you for your time!

Hi
Can we start from a datum point, of the Storage device it came with, and only that.
Specify please what that is, and does/did the system boot an to an OS?
Can you boot from a USB at this point.
Tell us what 'format' the Storage device is, EG: GPT or MBR or ???
Similarly what format is the USB? Is the BIOS set to AHCI or RAID.

Hi,
I should clarify, the 1TB drive was purchased and installed around a year ago, I cloned it and it runs Windows 10, the 128GB is now unused. The system boots perfectly fine to Windows 10, I cannot boot from the USB here, but can see that it is connected. The USBs are GPT I believe. The USB, FAT32. And I think the BIOS is set to AHCI. Thanks!

Hi
I think it is an error in formatting.
The USB is GPT?
Then that suggests the W10 is a LEGACY MBR clone.
