Dell Inspiron 5675 - Ryzen 7 1700x, NVME Windows Install Issues

Hi everyone - I am trying to refurbish an old computer I snagged, but I'm having a HECK of a time with it.

It seems like there MIGHT be something wrong with the NVME m.2 drive, as I'm struggling to load windows properly on it. It's flummoxing because it will work, but then out of nowhere it will fully stop working and I'll get thrown into a boot lop and the PC simply cannot boot from the drive.

I THINK I've confirmed this by installing windows on a standard 2.5" SSD - so far so good. The issues sorted themselves as soon as I yanked the NVME SSD out and restricted it to that single SSD.

That said, I had an NVME drive installed (a different brand same type, PCIE Gen 3x4) with windows already installed, no issues. Then I switched to try and install windows ON the new drive (as I assumed there was an issue with the SSD I was running). I simply could not install.

I was able to get a boot Flash drive that worked in the legacy OS, but even then I would start to install windows and as soon as it rebooted, and I would get stuck in an automatic repair loop or a Dell system scan loop - no explanation or idea why.

Also I know that this PC doesn't technically support Win 11 but I know that isn't an issue, as I've loaded Win11 on systems as old as an Intel i5-4500

Please, would love some help sorting this out. I really want a working machine for the person I gave it to.

I also know there are very frustrating issue when I try to boot with a non-legacy OS, as soon I do

Ryzen 7, 1700x - I’ve removed the components and found a home for those, however the pc is still not working and I would like that to change.
