Dell Inspiron 3847 not turning on
I cannot get my pc to boot up...it did a few times, but now nothing works. I had it boot to the diagnostics and ran a full check and found an error that read:
Error code 2000-0122
Validation 97942
Memory errors detected. Limit exceeded. Additional errors will not be resolved. Slot DIMM2.
Is this fixable? Is it worth fixing (10 years old)? If nothing else, I would like to get my files off the hard drive which still seems fine by the diagnostics.
Thanks for any assistance!

Swap the module to the other slot and re-test. If the error follows the module, replace the memory module with a new one. If it doesn't (i.e., the same error occurs with the same socket and the other module), it's the socket that's bad. It may be worth replacing a bad memory module -- but it probably isn't worth replacing the system board if the socket is the faulty part.
