DDR4 RAM 2666MHZ or 3200 MHZ 3891 Desktop
Inspiron 3891
Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Desktop Inspiron 3891, Intel(R) Quad Core i3-10105 CPU@ 3.7 GHz, 1 stick 8 GB (4DDR) RAM, 1TB Seagate Disk hard drive, 64 bit, Windows 11 Home, on board Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
Existing RAM that came on the new computer is identified as follows, ADATA, 8GB 1Rx16 PC4-3200AA-UCO-11, 10402742 1.2V DC:2128, AO2P32NC8W1-BD3SHC. The desktop has 2 RAM slots and I am going to install 2 new sticks of 8GB. I’m reading that this desktop RAM can only operate at 2666 MHz. From Dell support and the community I’ve found that 8 GB DDR4 2666 MHZ CL19 and 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL22 (or2666 MHz or 2933MHz) meet RAM specifications for this desktop. Actually guess this is minor question but is the fact that one of these type RAM can operate at 3 different speeds make it less efficient than the other type? If so would you even be able to tell any difference in the way the computer operates?
I would appreciate any comments you may have.
Thank you.

2933 RAM module speed is only for systems with an 11th Gen CPU. For your 10th Gen RAM will run at 2666. And 3200 RAM would run at 2666 as well. The difference between 2933 and 2666 is negligible in game play and other operations and I doubt you would notice any performance change one to another.
