CMOS battery replacement Inspiron 3670

I am trying to replace the CMOS battery in my Inspiron 3670 desktop. I have the procedure in the service manual. However I have a problem removing the old battery. I have tried pressing on the edge of the battery as shown in the diagram, but although I pressed quite hard, the battery would not lift out. There appear to be 4 small tabs holding the battery in place which don't allow the battery to lift. The diagram in the manual appears to show retaining tags on one side only so the battery can lift when pressed on the opposite side. I am afraid to press too hard in case I damage the board.

Am I being dumb? Can anyone help?

if you see a metal tab on the side, push that tab outward with a small tool will pop up battery.

if you do not see the metal tab, then use a small flat blade screwdriver or toothpick to gently push one of the small plastic retainer tab outward away from battery.  battery is seated in a plastic socket which can be slightly expanded by manual pressure, at which point the battery can be released or extricated.  a fine tweezer may be handy to lift up the battery in this situation.

@redxps630 is spot on with the directions. This page from the 3670 service manual will confirm his directions and possibly make the process a bit clearer.

I managed to get the old battery out by prizing it out with some plastic tweezers. They don't make it easy.
