Blurred Screen - New Inspiron
Inspiron 3030 Desktop
Hi,
I have a new Inspiron desktop which replaced an old dell desktop. My Samsung monitor doesn't seem to like the new dell and I have blurred text.
I have tried several steps.
Updated graphics card driver
Changed Advanced performance options to 'Adjust for best appearance'
Clear Type Text - doesn't help as all the boxes are blurred in some way
My monitor is a wide Samsung 1920x1080 / 67.4 kHz / 60 Hz
Any ideas on what I need to change either on my monitor or the desktop to make them like each other would be amazing.

Does this monitor have its own driver software and did you install in on the new PC? You can look for the driver for your specific monitor on Samsung site. Reboot after installing the driver.
Then open the Windows Display screen and make sure the monitor is correctly identified. Then set Display Resolution to the "recommended" setting for this monitor.

@RoHe Thank you for responding.
I have tried that it hasn't made any difference.
I've just requested to return the system, can't be bothered with this with a new pc, it should work out the box.

Which version of Inspiron 3030 do you have, desktop or small desktop? And exactly which CPU and how much RAM does it have?
Do you have an add-in video card or only have onboard Intel Graphics? if you have both, are you sure the monitor is connected to the add-in video card, not to either of the onboard Intel Graphics ports?
NOTE: Onboard Intel Graphics has these limitations:
Maximum resolution supported by DisplayPort 1.4 port is 4096 x 2034 @ 60 Hz
Maximum resolution supported by the HDMI 1.4b port is 1920 x 1200.
You did install the monitor driver, correct?
Does this monitor show a clear display when connected to another PC?
