Adding an internal DVD-RW to Inspiron 3020 Small Desktop
Hi, I have an Inspiron 3020 small desktop without a factory-installed internal DVD-RW drive. I would like to add one, and found a few other posts regarding this. They recommended the Dell 9M9FK drive, but I'd also like to get the blue bezel to match the computer front panel, and I don't see a part number for it.
I looked at eBay and there are some listings for 9M9FK drives which may or may not have a suitable bezel.
Questions:
1) does the bezel that comes with the 9M9FK fit the opening in the front panel?
2) are there other brackets or mounts that I would need for this?

Use the bezel part number provided and check with Dell sale or source it from available markets in your region.

Re: there are some listings for 9M9FK drives which may or may not have a suitable bezel.
9M9FK is a Dell oem bare dvd used in multiple different models. Some third party seller includes a “free” bezel which is more likely from another Dell model not c/w 3020.

Update: I posted Inspiron 3910 dvd and dvd bezel as “solution” to dvd for 3020 3030 which are immediate successor model to 3910. At that time 3020 parts list were not available. Now it is available

Hi all, it looks like the bezel part number FFJFY is for the 3020 MT, not the SFF. Are they the same? If not, is there a different part number for the SFF bezel?

@Chino de Oro this references the MT (tower) version, not the SFF (small desktop) version. I looked at this before making a new post. Do you have other info on the SFF?

SFF uses the same bezel as MT.
