5400 AIO - No Bios Screen / No USB Recovery Boot
Inspiron 5400 AIO
Dell community, we have an Inspiron 5400 AIO bought at costco.com which died one month after the completion of the 2 year warranty.
After pressing the power button, we get nothing on the screen. After taking the back off, we hear it try to read the HDD and the fan runs intermittently for 2-3s. The self test button does nothing.
Created a Windows 11 recovery disk just to see if it would boot, but to no avail. Wanted to recover the bios using the method described in dell support, but we cannot get it to boot. I've replaced the CMOS battery.
Is there anything else to try? Or what am I missing? I've tried booting off the USB with the HDD removed, but we cannot seem to invoke the bios. I've taken the memory and HDD out, ready to throw away the $1100 machine.
