2nd monitor not detected

This is a brand new Inspiron 24 5430.  A second monitor is not detected either through the HDMI out port or by using the usb 3.2 port with a cable  that converts to HDMI.  I am really frustrated as I have spent hours with Dell's robotic help, support assist completes successfully and with a real human twice.  Unfortunately the first human sent me off to some tech expert service outside of Dell who wanted my credit card number.  A credit card to troubleshoot a brand new computer?  Are you kidding me?

The second real human was useless since the phone connection to whatever part of the world she was in was breaking up for her.

I should have learned about Dell support when I bought a new 8950 a couple of years ago and the front USB ports failed within a week.  Support refused to fix them and told me to just buy a USB port expander with my own money.

If this does not get fixed soon I will be returning it and buying something else from another manufacturer.

I am about ready to return this since Dell does no

Only the HDMI port supports video output -- the USB 3.2 port on this and most other desktops will not, unless used with a displaylink adapter.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
