2.5" Caddy for 3030
Does anyone know where I can purchase a 2.5" HDD caddy for the Dell Inspiron Desktop 3030? It seems to have an unusual mounting bracket (see graphic).

FYI I fitted both a 2.5" SSD using this Ebay Caddy in the mounting bracket shown in my first graphic (despite Dell Support saying it wasn't supported) and a 3.5" HDD screwed directly in the space below the optical drive

Hi
Hope this helps....
Dell’s own metal caddy (part number 9T3F1) is compatible with the Inspiron 3030, 3020, and 3910 towers.
You can find these brackets on eBay, AliExpress, or UKComputerParts, often listed as compatible with Dell Optiplex/Inspiron models.

@anne_droid That is helpful. I haven't been able to source the 9T3F1. Would you be able to put a link to an example picture of a compatible bracket - I'm not clear how it can fit into the lugs on the actual desktop.

Not any really good definitive ones... Sorry.

Has a set of pictures, and consider the cables / connectors may be different also.
What it looks like:
It is a metal bracket, sometimes referred to as a "double 2.5'' HDD caddy," with mounting holes for two 2.5" drives.
The caddy is shaped to fit into specific slots inside the Dell chassis and typically pivots at the bottom and snaps in at the top for secure installation.
You can see actual photos of the 9T3F1 caddy on listings such as eBay, where it is shown as a rectangular metal frame with screw holes for drive mounting.
Key features:
Holds two 2.5" drives in a single 3.5" bay.
Made of metal for durability.
Designed for easy installation in compatible Dell cases.
For reference, you can find images of the 9T3F1 caddy by searching for "Dell 9T3F1 caddy" on sites like eBay or parts suppliers, where product photos are available

What about one that will fit a 3.5" internal hard disk? Seems all I can find are the ones for a 2.5 disk.

A 3.5" drive will not fit in the space designated for the 2.5" drives. There is space elsewhere on the case to screw in one 3.5" drive; it doesn't require a bracket.
