Windows 10 image asks for activation
I have just built our windows 10 pro image for use in deployments. The computer I built the image on activates just fine. But whenever we image other computers, the activation fails. I believe it is pulling the same product key that I built the image on. These computers are coming in licensed for windows 10, so shouldn't the image be pulling the product key from bios? Am I missing something?

I also tried pulling the product key from the computer's bios using powershell and entering that for the product key, and it fails activation.

So I do believe this could be caused by me using the Windows Media Creation Tool to create the base build. So now that I this is the case, I need to figure out something about the dell recovery media for windows 10. I will start a new thread for that one.

Nope. No fix for this issue as of yet. The problem is dell hasn't released OEM media with the latest windows 10 build. I think it's 1511. So when you image with their media, as soon as it runs updates, it will update to the 1511 build which takes just as long as dropping a windows 8 or 7 image and upgrading to 10.

But so far, I haven't found a way around it, but you have to use their OEM media. Microsoft told us to use our volume license version of windows 10 and it should pull the serial from the bios, but it didnt. So we ate still at ground zero with this issue.
