Windows 10 - Delays and co
Hi there,
We are using DIA for more than 5 months now but are facing some "issues", someone may have some answers to help us.
We have build our images from Windows 10 Enterprise, pre and post anniversary update and when deploying the image we face several things (the capture is ok, i think we stick to the rules of the how to's):
- the deployment of the syspreped image get stuck in "start up window - getting ready" for quite a long time (up to 30 minutes!)
- the first start of a user on the domain takes about 15 minutes, with the MS message saying "it's taking abit longer than expected but..."
I was wondering if this would be due to some specific MS update or so... We are running a standard setup: Windows 10, Office 2016, a couple of tools (PDF, VLC, java, 7zip), nothing fancy. We cannot trace anything in the event viewer or anywher else.
Any idea? Thanks in advance

Hi Tyler,
Thank you for your prompt reply and idea.
Yes I am joining a demain in the xml, and the laptop is joined in the right OU, so all in all, the overall processes do work, it just takes way too long... Credentials are correct and it does work.
And the getting started while booting got longer with the Windows 10 anniversary, it was working faster in the previous version. This is really weird.

Hi Tom -
Are you joining a domain or workgroup in your unattend.xml? If joining a domain, you'll need to have your system connected to the network where the domain is or it will hang at "getting ready...". If you do have it connected, check to ensure your domain / credentials are correct in the unattend settings. When we've seen this in the past there is typically something wrong with the domain join credentials. It's possible too that you're experiencing a network / DNS issue on your network.
