T5810 Freeze Win PE
Hello,
I am trying to Image about 50+ T5810s.
I have the latest and greatest IA package but cannot seem get the Win PE to load.
I have tried multiple USB sticks with the same result, used second USB port on the front.
Error is
Initializing DELL PE, this may take a minute...
Waiting for USB Drive to be ready...
Unable to locate USB Drive.
X:\windows\system32>
I cannot enter anything into the command line, even with a PS2 keyboard plugged in on boot.
Could someone help me out?
Am I missing a BIOS setting?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex -
Newer workstations have a “Memory map IO above 4gb” checkbox in the BIOS. If the box is checked, only a 64 bit PE key will boot. If the box is unchecked, both 32 bit and 64 bit keys will be bootable.
To create a 64 bit PE key, from a command line, run the creator with the /secureboot switch.
