System cannot be unjoined from a domain.
I'm trying to create an image for our environment and I had to domain join it to install our custom software, however, after I moved it to a workgroup I now get an error saying the "System cannot be a member of a domain or unjoined from a domain."
Is there a way for me to get around this? Do I need to clear something? Or am I just out of luck?

I'm having the same issue, unjoined from domain, still get the issue. In this link Dell explains that "Do not connect to a domain (GPO's might cause Sysprep to break)". I've spent some time trying to clean up domain GPO remnants from the registry but still have the same issue.

@DELL-Tyler M I'm having this issue as well. I've joined the domain to get our software, unjoined, ran sysprep to generalize and still get met with this message. It's very inconvenient

@DELL-Tyler M Perhaps, but when you need to simply create a USB boot stick and manually copy over your .wim and driver packages to the usb, you can't create it. It errors out before you have the option to select more tools and create USB drive. The computer being a part of the domain or having once been a part of a domain makes no difference in this case. And I still can't create the media unless I build a windows 10 box to create it. I don't need sysprep as I am not backing up the PC for restoration. I simply want to build a stick for re-imagine to a .wim.

I was able to solve the issue by deleting C:\Windows\debug\Netsetup.log file and then re-running the dell image assist tool
