Question about sending gold image
So when we send the gold image to dell does it need to have the driver CABs or just the .wim? We are sending a hard drive when we are done but just wondering if we need to restore the gold image with the driver CAB. We have 2 different models we are ordering 7020 and a latitude 3440. Unless its possible to put both of those driver cabs on that hard drive.

Thank you for the question. All you will send to Dell is the WIM image that was created and captured by the Image Assist toolset. The Dell factory process will detect the system model you order and inject the latest production drivers into your image for 1st boot.
In summary, the Image Assist toolset will create a sysprepped Windows image (with whatever unattend features you selected during the process) that can be re-deployed at the Dell factory to multiple model and chassis types. Dell will always ensure you have the most recent drivers for the platform you order.
