Port blocked in image
Hi,
I have just finished to create my image with Image Assist, and i have a small problem. One application on my image use a spécific port to work. On my VM the port was open before i create the image. But When i restore my image to test it, the port is closed. I have tryed to disable windows firewall, but the port remain closed. I don't have any secutity application installed on my image.
I am using Windows 10 pro up to date.
Image Assist 8.7.1.3.
VMWare Workstation 15 Pro (but i've got the same problem with Hyper-V VM).
If Needed the blocked port is the incoming TCP 8200.
Thank you for help.

Hello, I would try to unblock the port through a script in the "First logon" command using netsh.exe. The first logon command is located at the bottom of page in the unattend.xml creator. Here is a link I found with an example.https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15171255/how-to-open-ports-on-windows-firewall-through-batch-file

Sorry that didn't work. Not sure what is causing that. All the DIA tool does is sysprep the image and capture. There might be something else in the image causing it. I would suggest, installing a new OS (Image) then immediately run the DIA tool before adding anything into the image. Capture/deploy and see if the port is still blocked. If it is, then sysprep is the only thing I can come up with that would block the port. Another solution might be to install the OS on a physical system before running DIA just in case the VM is playing a part in this issue. Just remember to keep the system off the internet, so drivers do not install.

There is not free support for VMWARE here. 3rd party software is also not supported here.
Lots of security profiles Block 8200 by design.
