Not Seeing Bootable USB Option in Image Assist

For context I'm using a generation 2 Hyper-V Windows 11 23H2 VM. I downloaded the latest version of Image assist (11.1.2.4) and I'm trying to capture the image from my VM to turn it into a bootable USB imaging stick.

I have my USB connected to my host pc and enabled the usb detection settings through RDP, i can see it in my VM environment

When I look at the video guide i can see that there is an option for USB:

However in my image assist on my VM i see no such options:

@Rpatel98 - The DIA USB and the DIA .WIM image you're creating are two different parts. You're correctly to creating .WIM image in the VM. What's not possible to do in Hyper-V is to create the USB drive for imaging machines. When you get to the step about creating the USB dive - you can say no to skip that in the VM and proceed with the image capture. Then create the USB from your host machine. Once the image is captured in the VM, copy it off and put it on the USB drive with the driver pack. Instructions for that are in the link I shared above.

@Rpatel98 - It's not possible to create the Image Assist USB drive inside of Hyper-V.

Here's how to do it from your host machine. ‎How To: Create a Image Assist Dynamic USB drive for restoring an image | DELL Technologies

@DELL-Tyler M Is it possible to create the image from the VM and then place it onto a temporary laptop to create the bootable USB? Only reason I prefer through VM is because of the ability to use checkpoints during the procedure and save the VM as a template in the future. Any ideas?

@DELL-Tyler M So in this case i can use any computer to format the USB? since i already captured the image from my VM i can simply run image assist on my own main computer to format the USB, then drag over the image to the USB correct? (plus any driver packs)

@DELL-Tyler M I noticed when i ran the USB format on a spare laptop the screen goes black afterwards - i had to restart the computer. Is this safe to run on a main computer? nothing will get re-formatted on the computer after running the USB format correct?

@Rpatel98 - There is a known issue with this release of DIA where explorer.exe is killed and does not restart. Reference this post > ‎Image Assist 11.1.2.4 - Known Issue "USB Creator kills explorer.exe Windows 11" | DELL Technologies
