Inbox drivers vs. Out-of-Box Drivers
Back in the day, Microsoft delivered Windows in a box made of cardboard, containing installation media, floppy, CD’s etc. The drivers were in that box of media.

Driver Types:
- Inbox Drivers: Drivers included in Windows releases.
- Out-of-Box Drivers: OEM or third-party drivers not included in Windows Releases.
Dell Dynamic Driver Injection
After Dell's Dynamic Driver Injection runs, a "c:\Out-of-Box Drivers" folder is created for installing those drivers during Plug and Play Note: Support for peripheral devices is not included.
To see the current list of supported models and driver packs, refer to this page > Dell Family Driver Packs.
