ImageAssist – Explorer permissions issue during Auto-Capture

During ImageAssist Auto Capture process, right before sysprep, users may see a Windows Explorer pop up stating

“You don’t currently have permission to access this folder.” This is because Windows AutoPlay settings for removable drives is set

“Open folder to view (File Explorer)”.

Options:

  1. Do nothing - This will not impact the Auto Capture process and if left alone will close automatically.
  2. Click Continue or Cancel and close the window.
  3. Alter the AutoPlay setting to “Take no action” but this setting may persist in your Gold Image sent to Dell.
