Image Assist: Installing Windows updates, offline.
Steps for Applying Servicing Stack and Quality Updates:
Download Updates:
- On an internet-connected system, visit the Microsoft Update Catalog.
- Search for the specific updates you need (e.g., Servicing Stack Updates, Cumulative Updates).
- Download the update files (usually in .msu format).
Transfer Updates:
- Transfer the downloaded update files to the offline system using a USB drive or network share.
Install Updates:
- On the offline system, open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Navigate to the directory where the update files are located.
- Run the following command to install each update:
wusa.exe updatefile.msu /quiet /norestartReplace updatefile.msuwith the actual file name of the update.
Restart System:
- After installing the updates, restart the system to complete the installation process.
- Finalize:
- Clean up files, take a new snapshot, and re-capture using Image Assist.
