Family Pack downloader thinks what it just downloaded is old and deletes it

Dell family pack downloaded downloads the win10_precisionm8_a10.zip family pack presumable because it thinks it's new then immediately deletes is after downloading because it thinks it's an older driver pack. is anyone else experiencing this with this particular driver pack?

@Tegan Letang

Open FPD, click the settings gear icon top right. At the bottom of the configuration page, uncheck "Delete older versions.." and test again.

I, too, am having this issue. It's due to broken supersedance within the packs. To date, of the models I track for my environment, the following packs do not properly supersede:

  • win10_latitudee11whl_a12
  • win10_latitudee11whl_a13
  • win10_optiplexd9mlk_a06
  • win10_optiplexd9mlk_a07
  • win10_precisionws9_a15
  • win10_precisionws9_a16
  • win10_xpsnotebook10_a03

I've noticed it being broken for about a year, now, but only now decided to pop on here and see if others reported the same. While disabling the checkbox to delete superseded driver packs is an option, that doesn't fix the issue and will lead to an increase in storage consumption as the old driver packs are not deleted. The good news is that the erroneous packs are purged, correctly, at the end of the process so the only thing you're out is time and bandwidth, which may be in short supply.

Thanks for your time,
Matt
