Cloud recover your Image Assist image using Dell's Self-Healing Image Recovery
Cloud Image recovery for Image Assist? Absolutely!
Custom Self-Healing Image Recovery allows you to add and set a custom image as the recovery preference for your PCs to meet your image recovery needs. As an administrator, you can create custom images using Image Assist, host the images in a server, and provide the link to the image.
|
⚠️ |
NOTE: The custom images capability must be enabled by your account team before you can proceed.
|
Before adding the custom image details in Self-Healing Image Recovery, the following prerequisites must be met:
- Building your custom images: Ensure that you build your custom image using Dell Image Assist for the recovery process. For instructions on building your images using Image Assist, see the Image Assist Dynamic for Multiple Platforms User's Guide available on the Image Assist documentation page.
- Generating the JSON file using Dell Image Assist WIM file extractor: Download and run the Dell Image Assist WIM file extractor on your Dell Image Assist-built image to generate a JSON output file, which you are required to upload as part of your custom image configuration.
- Hosting your image on the hosting server: Host your custom image in a hosting server, and provide the hosting link while adding your image to Self-Healing Image Recovery. If the hosting link requires access credentials, enter your username and password. Your credentials are secured with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) by Dell Technologies.
