powerpath & VMware RDM
Hi All,
There are 2 modes of RDM which VMWare has. one is compatible RDM, another is physical RDM.
Do I need to install PowerPath in that Virtual Machines which use RDM?
Thanks for any input
Dennis

you don't need to install anything on the host (regardless if you use PowerPath/VE or native NMP), compatibility mode does not matter either.

Hi Dennis. PowerPath/VE for ESX is installed on the ESX 4.x hypervisor. There is no need to install PowerPath on the guest.
Thanks, Brion
