Migration of AIX boot luns from DMX3 to CX380

I'm doing a migration from frame to frame.. Some vg mirroring but mostly Open Replicator/Migrator (whichever). I have no concern on migrating the data. I just found out that the AIX (5.2+) servers are booting from the DMX. Can this be accomplished by a lun migration, is the CX capable. I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest you put the environment configuration through E-Lab navigator for the CLARiiON array to see if Boot-from-SAN is supported for your environment.

E-Lab navigator is found as a link from http://powerlink.emc.com -- use the Storage array wizard and fill in your details from there...

I believe if your boot volume is handled by PowerPath, it should work just as any other volume. However, I would be much more comfortable using mirrorvg, migratepv or alt_disk_install followed by a change in the boot list.
