How to resume Solutions Enabler installation

I'm trying to install Solutions Enabler 8.0.2 on a SunOS 5.10 SPARC host that already has SE 7.6.2.8.

Yesterday I was stepping through the interactive installation script as I've done before, when I found I had a process running that I didn't want to kill and I had to choose the option to exit the script (SE 8.0.2 install guide, p. 57, step 3B, number 4).

Today I'd like to resume where I left off. Is that possible? How do I do that?

If it isn't possible to just pick up where I left off, I would think I could start the script over by issuing the command "se8020_install.sh -install". However, se8020_install.sh is no longer in the temp directory where I had it yesterday. Where has it gone?

Today I've created a new temp directory, transferred se8020-SunOS-sparc-ni.tar.gz into it, and tried to gunzip and tar it so I could have an se8020_install.sh to run. However, after the tar command spat out several dozen lines of output, it failed with this message:

tar: SYMse/reloc/SYMCLI/shlib/libstorssl64mt.so: HELP - extract write error

What's wrong? Does the fact that I have se8020-SunOS-sparc-ni.tar left over in yesterday's temp directory, prevent me from extracting se8020-SunOS-sparc-ni.tar in today's temp directory?

Maybe I can make progress if I just delete yesterday's temp directory altogether and finish extracting the .tar in today's. But is there any danger that SE 8.0.2 thinks it's still in the middle of yesterday's install and I'll suddenly lose SE if I delete yesterday's directory? Here are the last two lines from the install script yesterday when I exited:

User Opted to stop installation.

Suspending installation of Solutions Enabler.

The word "suspending", as opposed to terminating, makes me nervous about deleting yesterday's temp directory.

When I issue the command "symcli" today, it tells me I'm still on 7.6.2.8, if that changes anyone's answer.

Sorry to dump such a long story on everyone. Please do let me know if I can communicate my situation more clearly or provide more info. Thanks for your help!
