How to delete SNAP session (mainframe env) ?
Hi,
We have problem with existing snap session. It cannot be deleted.
(Mainframe system, DMX-3, TIMEFINDER MF SNAP V5.7.0 (021))
After command:
QUERY VOLUME(UNIT(B047) CCUU(A100-A103) SESSION_LIST(YES,DETAIL))
We have one SDDF snap session on volume ¿A101¿:
0082(A100) *A100* STD CKD-32760 READY RAID/5
0083(A101) *A101* STD CKD-32760 READY RAID/5
SESSION TARGET TRACKCNT PROT-TRK IND-TRK PRECOPY #
04FE
0084(A102) *A102* STD CKD-32760 READY RAID/5
0085(A103) *A103* STD CKD-32760 READY RAID/5
It is probably ¿zombie¿ session after my tests several weeks ago, when I¿ve tested snap datasets.
We¿ve tried to use:
CLEANUP EXTENT TRACK ON UNIT (A101)
and
CLEANUP UNIT(A101) CLEANUP_DIFFERENTIAL(YES)
but the session still exist.
Any idea how we can delete it ?
Marcin

Command:
CONFIG (TARGET(UNIT(A101)) RELEASE(Y))
delete this session. But reading documentation I really don¿t know why ? (we don¿t use BCV)

Did the guy with only 34 posts _really_ type that?
I just checked with our team, and they'll be chiming in shortly.
Thanks for the heads up on this question Stefano. Btw, the Ducati does not cut out for no apparent reason and is very quick - unlike some brands we know of that begin with the letter "B"...
Marcin, we will get you those answers.
