EMC grab for Linux server
Hi,
I ran an EMC grab for linux machine. In the HEAT report there are no RED colored sentences(Unsupported versions).
The Driver version in HEAT report is 8.0.16.27
But my question is when I run the E-lab Interoperability matrix there is no column for Drivers(not showing up any drivers).I would like to know what is the Driver version that need to be at?
The specifications that I used for E-Lab Interoperabilty matrix are:
Host Bus Adapter Emulex LPe11000-E
Host System Dell PowerEdge 6950
Operating System Red Hat RHEL [x86_64] 4.5 AS/ES
Storage Array EMC CLARiiON CX4-120/CX4-240/CX4-480/CX4-960
Switch Cisco MDS 9509
Topology FC-SW
If I change the Host System to Dell PowerEdge R905 in the E-lab Interoperability, the report showing Driver version(whereas Driver version is not showing for Dell PowerEdge 6950).
Can anybody please let me know how to get the right driver revision.
Thanks,
Bannu.

that just means that EMC did not fully test all versions for all components on the PowerEdge 6950.
As long as you run the same line of OS (RHEL 4.5 AS/ES) and the same card, the same drivers would apply.
EMC would support that, no question, although the testlab never actually tested it to make sure... The testlab is also driven by a simple measure of "number of customers having this environment" as they cannot test everything all the time.
Cheers,
