Hi Sfefano,

The issue is sorted ..

And, it is noticed that symcli has been installed at application host :) i am pretty sure it will be a security threat if unix admin tries some commands to learn storage stuff .. Can we restrict this unauthorised access at DMX as we do in Navisphere for naviagent ?

thanks

Guys, I have created the following devices with 2 paths ..Actually, unix admin using SVM to configure these LUNs to expand meta [unix] .. since they see 2 devices for each pseudo device, they are not sure how to configure them ..

But, they can use pseudo device from format to expand the existing file system , correct?

Pseudo name=emcpower223a
3072 pci@1d,700000/SUNW,qlc@1/fp@0,0 c12t5006048452A5C208d264s0 FA 9aA active alive 0 0

That is correct, the pseudo devices can be used in SVM to create large meta devices.

You have options .. you can use symACL and even host-based authorization ... You can find better details in symcli manuals ... :-) .... Just look for "symacl" and "symauth" ;-)
