Can not install EMC.CLARiiON.ha.rte on AIX

Hi, i have the following settings: the AIX OS is a basic 5.3.0.6 installation with server bundle, app&dev bundle, patched to TL8 SP3, and installed HACMP 5.4.1 and it's SP3 on it. The OS is booting from a CLARiiON CX3-40c, with PowerPath device. I have the bos.clvm.enh and all of the valuable cluster filesets installed, even though i got the following error:

# installp -ac -d. EMC.CLARiiON.ha.rte

Hi,

Firstly, if upgrading to EMC AIX ODM DEFINITION 5.1.0.0. or 5.2.0.0 REQUIRE that all previous EMC AIX ODM DEFINITIONs be removed first. See emc84407

Also, I believe that you should review emc85504 as this is a boot from SAN, there are a couple of extra steps involved when upgrading ODM on boot-from-SAN hosts.

There are two options, the first is to migrate the system disk to an internal disk, and perform the upgrade procedure as documented in the readme.1st file in the standard ODM distribution directory OR Contact customer service for a special script that will rename the symmetrix devices to Other FC Disk. This will then allow the old ODM definitions to be uninstalled. The new 5.1.0.0 and above ODM defintions can then be installed. A reboot will be required to allow the new ODM definitions to take affect.

The script referred to in the Primus is called boot_change and is publicly available here
ftp://ftp.emc.com/pub/symm3000/aix/ODM_DEFINITIONS/boot_change.tar

Thanks, but the system works fine, boots fine, almost everything is perfect, except i cannot install the HA fileset to get enhanced concurrent support for HACMP/PowerHA 5.4.1 for heartbeat over an hdiskpower device.
Version 5.3.0.2 ODM definitions were installed at the beginning, i don't want to down- or upgrade or change the boot device.

Meanwhile waiting to messiah (i mean somebody who knows the answer for my problem) i've installed locally an AIX 5.3 with exactly the same OS, patches, HACMP, EMCODM and Powerpath and i could install the ha fileset (no need of cluster.es.clvm.rte 5.3.0.0 fileset). Then i've transferred this environment to a CLARiiON with SAN boot, and still could install the ha fileset.
Now i'm get the OS image from the customer to debug at our office, installed to our p5 server (customer has p6 servers) with our CLARiiON CX500 (customer has CX3-40c) successfully, and i'm unable to install the ha fileset (good old script error). I suppose the OS installation can differs in some filesets, but the OS at this customer is out of my hand. So still stucked.

Bull instead of IBM, but that's the same at my point of view. I'm on it thank you.
