BOOT ON SAN R2 AIX5.3 VIO

We have a configuration disc SYMMETRIX DMX2000 R1 and DMX3000 R2 (SRDF SYNC). We wants to make a test of PRA soon for our server AIX IBM VIO 5.3. We tried to make to a Boot one SAN on R2 with the serveur of test AIX IBM VIO 5.3 but we did not succeed. Who already made this test and who can give us information on this subject?

AIX Host Connectivity Guide should be helpful: http://powerlink.emc.com/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Technical_Documentation/300-000-608_a12_elccnt_0.pdf Although I don't think the documentation specifically mentions booting VIOS from R2.

I am aware of one situation when rootvg was mirrored between a Symmetrix device and an internal drive. That configuration is not supported and did not work.
