XPS 8930 lost WIFI and needed manual power up after installing Microsoft KB5055627

Hi Everyone,

Up until yesterday, my Dell XPS with Windows 11 Pro has been functioning perfectly and has updated all Microsoft Windows updates for Windows 11 24H2 for x64 based Systems until yesterday (4/24/2025), Windows Update automatically installed KB5055627 and KB5055679. After the update the XPS workstation was off, would not power on using the front power button. I was able to restart the machine using the power button on the back of the machine at the Power Supply unit (PSU).

Once the machine was restarted, I reconnected all peripherals (monitor, external drives, etc) and proceeded to find the machine WIFI was not functioning, and some USB ports were not available, so I connected a cable to the ethernet port for internet access, then opened the Device Manager,  selected Show Hidden Devices and  noted errors on the Qualcomm WIFI virtual adapter, and non-functioning USB ports. The properties for each of the non-functioning devices all stated "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer (Code 45). To fix this problem, reconnect the hardware device to the computer".  I've tried every troubleshooter to no avail, & Uninstalled the Qualcomm WIFI Virtual adapter, then restarted the machine thinking the system would find the devices and resume functioning. Unfortunately, no luck. I tried uninstalling the 2 windows updates via settings and that was unsuccessful. I am at a loss for the status of this once great Dell XPS 8930. Could this be only the updates, or a hardware (motherboard) Issue? I've run the Dell Diagnostic in the Dell Support Assist, that did not even see the Qualcomm WIFI adapter. Not sure which direction is best to turn to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
